The oldest of France’s great cognac houses opens the doors of its historic site and invites you to embark on a journey through its history, terroir and savoir-faire. In a contemporary scenography, Maison Martell offers a choice of three tours depending on how far you want to explore.
Martell Discovery is a fascinating guided tour spanning 300 years from Jean Martell to the present day.
Martell Savoir-Faire takes you further into the world of Maison Martell with a workshop allowing you to fill your own cognac sampling bottle in a cellar that is generally closed to the public.
Become a cognac expert with the Martell Heritage tour, during which you help to blend a cognac in our Cellar Master’s Atelier. A unique experience in an exceptional location.

Bottling a Martell cognac
Continue your discovery of Maison Martell by following up your tour (Discovery or Heritage) with an original experience around savoir-faire. Step into the authentic atmosphere of the Creation Cellar, dating back to 1838, on the historic Martell site. You will be welcomed by a Martell guide, who will lead you through the process of bottling one of the House’s cognacs, Martell Noblige. – 30€/pax ask us on your day of visit to experience cognac bottling.

Martell By Night
As night falls, this guided tour will take you around the historic Gâtebourse site. It was here that, more than 300 years ago, Jean Martell founded his Cognac House. From cellar to cellar, every place you visit is steeped in history. Continue the experience at the Indigo by Martell rooftop bar with a tasting of one of the House’s cocktail as you admire the stunning views over the town of Cognac.

On the top floor of the historic site of Martell, this vast terrace offers a spectacular view of Cognac, from the historic centre to the banks of the Charente river. Indigo by Martell offers a menu of creative cocktails – including the classic recipes revisited – for you to enjoy the complete collection of Martell cognacs.
