    A Swift Story

Déborah Amaral is a French millennial designer who is changing the game in fashion. Currently the director of creative fashion agency House of P., Déborah first emerged as a forward-thinking independent designer with her streetwear label Pantheone. In her collections, she primarily upcycles materials, giving new life to old fabrics. Déborah works tirelessly to take the mostly masculine world of streetwear in a more contemporary, feminine direction.

With Portuguese roots and a partially Swiss upbringing, Déborah Amaral is a French-born Parisian designer who is changing the game in fashion through her creative fashion agency, House of P. Through House of P.’s engaged, contemporary approach, Déborah disrupts fashion’s usual supply chain as well as streetwear’s mostly masculine culture.

After studying fashion design at Esmod Paris, Déborah kicked off her career as head of studio at the streetwear collective Andrea Crews, where she met fellow millennial Aurélie Leyre. Together, they co-founded Pantheone, Déborah’s first brand, in 2010. The label’s name reflects a feminization of “Pantheon” and also pays tribute to the world reference of colour, Pantone, a major source of inspiration for the creative duo. The label’s garments took sportswear in a new direction: soft, yet strong femininity.

Their label evolved into House of P., and these two fashion upstarts have since designed capsule collections and collaborations with brands like Adidas, Kenzo and Casio. House of P. is a bridge between streetwear and couture, with diverse influences, from classic to irreverent, from Brigitte Bardot to sports uniforms.

Committed to breaking the rules and challenging expectations, Déborah upcycles unused fabrics and garments to design her bold, innovative pieces. Through repurposing and reconstruction, she minimises waste and dares the fashion world to think outside of the box. She aims to make women feel strong and good in whatever they wear, and at the same time, gives old clothes a new life. Inspired by the similarities between the worlds of spirits and streetwear, both considered to be quite masculine, Déborah challenged herself to create a feminine look inspired by a bottle of Martell Blue Swift. Her design gives the legacy of Martell cognac a dose of something new.

In this era of fast fashion, Déborah fights the current with her agency House of P. Déborah’s bold combat for tomorrow and the future beyond is to raise awareness of the power we all have to advocate for our own dreams and passions. Her projects demonstrate freedom and originality, and the infinite possibilities of audacious creativity.
